The “Vampire Diaries” hunk has been caught in the act … of pampering! On Thursday, the 34-year-old actor visited a nail salon in Santa Monica, California, to have his famous fingers filed to perfection – while also sending a quiet message to the rest of the world that there is nothing wrong with a little male grooming.

Looking quite cozy in his chair at the salon, the casually-dressed star had his legs crossed while the manicurist worked on one hand and he chatted away on his cellphone with the other.
Perhaps his gal pal and co-star Nina Dobrev was on the line? We can only imagine their conversation: Hey, babe – Sorry I’m running late, my cuticles are a disaster!

After the blue-eyed heartthrob’s grooming session was complete, he showed that he’s not all about the pampering. He slipped on his leather jacket and walked outside to his wheels – a no frills beach cruiser! – and pedaled off.
A little rugged, a little soft … that Nina sure is lucky!
